Friday, June 25th
DARE Car Show on Main Street from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Raindate: Sunday, June 27 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Saturday, June 26th
The public is invited to celebrate the opening of a new, permanent exhibit at the Torrington Historical Society Saturday from 1 to 5 PM.
"No Place Like Home: The History of Torrington" depicting the history of the city, was created over an eight-year period at a cost of more than $300,000. The exhibit takes up the ami floor of the Museum Building, which is next to the Hotchkiss-Fyler House at 192 Main Street.
The celebration will include tours of the exhibit, carriage rides through the adjacent Center Cemetery, historical automobiles on display in the parking lot, food and entertainment. Admission for all activities is free.
Sunday, June 27th
Downtown Street Fair on Main Street from 11:00 - 4:00 PM. The Kick-Off to Summer Street Fair features live entertainment, handmade crafts, specialty foods, childrens activities and much more! The event will be held rain or shine; admission is free.
