The Northwestern Connecticut Transit District offers a deviated flexible route and door-to-door Dial-A-Ride service for residents of 16 towns in the Litchfield County region. The Candystriper Bus System serves the community with scheduled bus service through Litchfield, Torrington and Winsted.
The Rural Transit's Dial-a-Ride service provides door-to-door transportation for residents in the 16 town region. Transportation is provided to nutrition programs, doctor and medical appointments, shopping, and for other social and personal purposes. Group excursions may also be arranged. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis by calling toll free, 1-866-906-RIDE.
The Job Access program provides commuter routes to Canaan and Waterbury. Finally, the Inter-Regional service provides transportation to out of area towns.
