Residential Leaves and Yard Waste
Residential Leaves and Yard Waste

Q:      Can I throw my leaves and yard waste out for weekly collection?

A:      No, but there is a leaf and yard waste pickup held in the fall (six weeks from the end of October to the beginning of December) and in the spring (two weeks at the end of April).  Leaves, grass and other yard waste will not be picked up during other times of the year.  Leaves must be put into biodegradable paper bags.  Yard waste such as branches, sticks and brush must be cut, bundled  and tied with string.  No material larger than 3” diameter or 3 feet long will be accepted.  They must be placed curbside for pickup on the same day as trash pickup during spring/fall yard waste pickup.  Also, they should not exceed 50 lbs in weight.  Stones, dirt and sharp objects should not be included as they will not be picked up.  It is suggested that you mulch your leaf waste.
