Q. Are my families eligible for similar assistance prior to and following my death?
A. The Veteran's Service Office provides services "from the cradle to the grave" for eligible military veterans and their families. Temporary financial assistance is available through the Soldiers' Sailors and Marine Fund for eligible veterans and their families.
Ombudsman type assistance is provided to complete necessary forms that cover VA Medical Insurance, burials, counseling services, awards and decorations, etc. For more information contact Len Dube, Adminstrator of Veteran Services, at phone 860-489-2531.
Q. My husband who was a veteran recently passed away. Is he able to have a Final Honors Military Funeral Squad at his funeral?
