Dog Licensing

The 2023 Dog License renewal period runs from June 1st through June 30th.

Dogs licenses not renewed by June 30th will be considered delinquent and subject to a $1.00 per month penalty.

Fees:

  • $8.00 Altered Dog
  • $19.00 Unaltered Dog

Online Registration is available between June 1st and July 31st. 

New Registrations may be made by mail (City Clerk's Office, 140 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790).

To Renew By Mail, Enclose:

  • Proof from Veterinarian of current Rabies Vaccination and Spay/Neutering
  • Payment - Check payable to the City of Torrington
  • A self-addressed, stamped envelope

    Contact the City Clerk's Office if you no longer have your dog.
