Torrington Awarded Grant Funding for Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program

TORRINGTON CT – July 3, 2018 – Mayor Elinor Carbone has hailed the state’s decision to award the City of Torrington a $400,000 grant to fund a Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program. 

 

“I am grateful to Governor Malloy and the Department of Housing for their recent decision to award Torrington this funding.  This program has been extremely successful in Torrington and has assisted many low to moderate income homeowners make needed repairs and improvements to their homes.”

Funding is derived from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Small Cities Program, administered by the state Department of Housing.
