TORRINGTON CT – February 5, 2018 – The City of Torrington will be holding a final public workshop as part of the BAR (Brownfield Area wide Revitalization) grant development strategy. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:00pm in the City Hall Auditorium.
Attendees will be provided the opportunity to review and comment on the concept plans before they are finalized and learn more about the draft strategy and the next steps.
“Over the past year we have had several well attended workshops as part of the BAR grant process. Anytime we undertake a process to develop a new strategy, it’s important that we are able to garner feedback from our community and to make this process as interactive and communicative as possible. I’m looking forward to a productive evening discussing the progress we’ve made thus far and looking at our next steps” said Mayor Carbone.
The City of Torrington received grant funding from the State of Connecticut Office of Brownfield Redevelopment in 2016 to engage in Brownfield Area Revitalization efforts and to formulate a strategy to identify, plan, and take steps to spur remediation and redevelopment.
