Senior Secretary

Assessor's Office

The City of Torrington is now accepting applications for the position of Senior Secretary in the Assessor’s office.  Clerical and customer service work administering various State and Local programs, data entry, maintenance of systems i.e. CAMA, Real Estate, Personal Property & Motor Vehicles. 

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, but AS degree in related field and 3 years assessment experience preferred.  Oral and written communication skills, ability to understand, evaluate and solve problems by exercising judgment and logic; ability to read, interpret and understand State Statutes; ability to perform basic arithmetical computations; ability to interpret maps, land transfers; learning and reasoning ability; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with superiors, associates and the general public; ability to comprehend and utilize assessment computer software. 

Salary:
$23.2144 - $29.9558 per hour with excellent benefits and retirement package.
