WILLIAM L. BESSE MUNICIPAL SPRAY PAD

Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the City of Torrington, at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, City Hall, 140 Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut until 11:00 A.M., September 28, 2020 at which time and place they will be opened and reviewed. In the event of the closure of City Hall, the bid will be opened on the following business day at 11:00 A.M that City Hall is open. No fax or e-mail Bids will be accepted.

 

The project work is comprised of demolition, removal and disposal of the existing wading pool and equipment complete at William L. Besse Municipal Park, installation of a new spray pad, decking, fencing, access drive, pavements, associated landscaping and miscellaneous site features. 

 

There will be a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED pre-bid conference held at 277 Winthrop Street, Torrington, CT on September 16, 2020 at 10:30 am.

A bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid.

 

A performance, labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid will be required.

 

The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or; to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest.

 

This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. 

 

All bids will be considered valid for a period of ninety (90) days.
