Welcome to Our New Emergency Management Web Page!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new Emergency Management web page, dedicated to providing you with essential resources and information to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.

In times of crisis, having access to accurate and timely information is crucial. Our new web page is designed to be your go-to source for all things related to emergency preparedness, response, and recovery and provide tips to prepare for both man made and natural disasters. Here's what you can expect from our new platform:

Emergency Alerts: Stay informed about critical updates and alerts directly from local authorities. Our real-time alerts will help you stay ahead of any emergency situation. These alerts will be identified by a red banner that will scroll at the top of the page. Clicking on the banner will direct you to information associated with the alert. Click on the Torrington Alerts banner to sign up for alerts related to issues within the City of Torrington.

Resources and Guidelines: Access comprehensive guides, checklists, and resources to help you and your loved ones prepare for emergencies effectively. From creating emergency kits to developing family communication plans, we've got you covered.

Emergency Contacts: Find a quick list of important contact numbers for emergency services, including police, fire, medical assistance, and more. It's essential to have these numbers readily available when you need them most.

Educational Content: Learn about different types of emergencies, the best practices for handling them, and the importance of being proactive in safeguarding your community, but more importantly yourself and your family.

We invite you to explore our new Emergency Management web page and make the most of the valuable resources we've compiled for you. Your safety matters to us, and this platform is a testament to our commitment to providing you with the information and tools you need to navigate any emergency situation.

We also invite you to subscribe to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds for information related to the Emergency Management

If you have any feedback, suggestions, or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Together, let's build a safer and more prepared community.

And once again, I am encouraging you to sign up for our Torrington Alerts System to receive the latest community updates.
