Franklin Street Redesign Workshop Planned

TORRINGTON CT – May 25, 2018 – As part of the ongoing Brownfield Area Revitalization (BAR) planning grant public engagement process, the City of Torrington invites residents to reimagine Franklin Street at an on-site interactive workshop hosted by Good Company Coffee House on Thursday, May 31st.

Attendees will get a chance to provide feedback in determining the final design features being incorporated into the redesign plan.

“Over the past several months, we have been working to reimagine the future of Franklin Street.  Home to several thriving businesses and abutting the Naugatuck River, Franklin Street holds great potential for the future.  It’s important that we as a city look at these opportunities for development and do all that we can to improve our city.   I am looking forward to this event and am hopeful that residents will attend and offer feedback and input and I am grateful to Good Company Coffee House for hosting this event” said Mayor Carbone.

The event will begin at 6:00pm at Good Company Coffee House, located at 33 Franklin Street; parking is available at the municipal parking lot located at 100 Franklin Street.   For individuals not able to attend, presentations are available on the City website and can be accessed by visiting the Economic Development page, and clicking on the Brownfield Area-Wide Revitalization Planning Grant tab on the left hand column or by clicking Here
