Mayor Announces Free Downtown Holiday Parking
TORRINGTON CT – November 28, 2017 – Mayor Elinor Carbone is pleased to announce that the City will once again be instituting two hours of free on-street parking during the holiday season at on-street metered spaces throughout downtown Torrington. The parking arrangement, in collaboration with the Police Department Traffic Division, will be effective immediately and will run through January 1st, 2018.
I’m very happy that we are able to once again offer two free hours of on-street parking this holiday season. Torrington has many great stores, restaurants and locally owned establishments that help to make our town so unique. I’m hopeful that shoppers will take advantage of the free parking and shop local” said Mayor Carbone.
The two free hours is available at on-street metered parking spaces throughout downtown only.
