Sealed bids for "FSR-297-101017, CONCRETE AND SOIL REMOVAL ACTIVITIES, 100 FRANKLIN STREET, TORRINGTON, CONNECTICUT" will be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Room 206, City Hall, 140 Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut until 11:00 AM, October 10, 2017 at which time and place they will be opened publicly and read. Contract Documents may be obtained for $25.00 at the Purchasing Department, Room 206, in City Hall, Torrington, CT or can be downloaded online at https://www.torringtonct.org/bids.

The scope of work includes the loading, transport and disposal of concrete rubble piles and contaminated soil stockpile from 100 Franklin Street, Torrington, CT 06790.

It is the responsibility of the Contractor to become familiar with the Plans, Specifications, and Work Plan. Contractors should note that this is a state funded prevailing wage job, and thus there is a State Department of Labor prevailing wage rate requirement. As part of the bid process, a Bid Bond will be required. A Bid Bond in the amount not less thatn five percent (5%) of the amoun tof the bid shall accompany each bid.

The City of Torrington reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities, to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest.
