PAVING OF VARIOUS ROADS PHASE 2020.5.2

Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the City of Torrington, at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, City Hall, 140 Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut until 11:30 A.M., June 10, 2020 at which time and place they will be opened and reviewed. In the event of the closure of City Hall, the bid will be opened on the following business day at 11:30 AM that City Hall is open. No fax or e-mail Bids will be accepted.

  

The project work includes paving of approximately 3.6 miles of various roads and associated miscellaneous work. Roads include; Sawmill Hill Rd (Eichner Rd to Winchester Town Line), Babbling Brook Rd, Starks Rd, Menahga La., Rossi Rd, Town Farm Rd, Pumping Station Rd.

A bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid.

 

The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or; to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest.

 

All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days.
