Minutes

1. Vote to accept the minutes of the Public Hearings held June 3, 2019.

 

2. Vote to accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 3, 2019.

3. Vote to open the meeting to the public.

 

CT Land Mobile Radio Network

4. Presentation explaining the Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network operated by the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of Statewide Emergency Telecommunications (DESPP) and the opportunities for municipalities to utilize the network.

 

5. Vote to authorize the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding allowing for the City of Torrington to utilize the Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network in the future.

 

Senior Center Storage Building

6. Vote to accept the recommendation of the Services for the Elderly Commission and authorize the Mayor to award the contract for the senior center storage shed project, including the stone base cupola and weather vane, to Kloter Farms of Ellington, CT for a total of $27,291.

 

General Plumbing Contract Extension

7. Vote to accept the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and authorize the Mayor to extend the current bid contract for General Plumbing and Related Repairs (Bid #PST-014-53018) to West State Mechanical, Inc. of Torrington, CT for Fiscal Year 2019/2020.

 

WPCA Invoices

8. Vote by the City Council herein acting as the WPCA to approve the attached payments from Fund #490 Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvement:

 

Release Liens

9. Vote to accept Corporation Counsel’s recommendation and authorize the Mayor, pursuant to C.G.S. §12-179, to release the liens described in Atty. Muschell’s Memo dated June 17, 2019.

 

Tax Collector Refunds

10. Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the nine tax refunds indicated on the list dated June 17, 2019.
