Guidelines to inspections and permits in response to COVID-19

Here is some guidance on how we can best assist you remotely:
- All permits, fees and supporting information, will need to be submitted by emailing Linda Orr (when possible) or mailed to:

- All permit applications can be found on the City's Website. If you need a hard copy of the application mailed to you please call 860-489-2234 or email Linda
- NOTE: Applications are not approved until they have been signed by the Department. No work should commence until you receive an electronic or hard copy of your permit
- Please provide an email address and phone number on all correspondence so that the Engineering Department can effectively communicate with you.
- Any maps or documents requested from the Engineering Office will be emailed to you. To request information, email Linda or call 860-489-2234
- Complaints or inquiries can be made by calling 860-489-2234 and you will be directed to the appropriate person to handle your concern
- We will make every effort to perform all inspections. We request that if someone in your household or construction crew become ill, please call the Engineering Department (860-489-2234) prior to Inspection, so proper safety measures can be taken.
