Architectural Review Committee
The Architectural Review Committee meets on an as-needed basis when applications are recieved. Meetings are generally held on Thursdays at 5:00 pm in the Land Use Office, Room 324, City Hall, 140 Main St, Torrington, CT.
The purpose of the Architectural Review Committee is to advise the Planning and Zoning Commission on the physical aspects of the City's environment. The Committee reviews each proposed project for aesthetic matters pertaining to planning and design as they relate to the physical characteristics and appearance of the site, neighborhood and City. The Committee reviews and makes written recommendations on all site plans, changes to facades of non-residential buildings and all business signs greater than 50 square feet in area.
