ON-CALL ROAD CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Sealed requests for qualification (RFQ) proposals will be received by the City of Torrington, at 
the office of the City Purchasing Agent, City Hall, Room 206, 140 Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut

until February 1, 2023, at 11:00 A.M., at which time and place they will be opened and reviewed.

In the event of the closure of City Hall, the proposal will be opened on the following business day at

11:00 AM that City Hall is open. No fax or e-mail proposal will be accepted.

 

The City of Torrington is seeking qualified Contractors to perform various minor road construction 
related works including bituminous concrete (asphalt), concrete and drainage works. Associated 
works includes but are not limited to removals, milling, excavation, trenching, backfill, gravels, 
processed aggregates, compaction, fine grading and restoration of surroundings.

 

Respondents must register on the City’s website at www.torringtonct.org/bids to download the RFQ 
documents under “BIDS & RFPS”, or from this link: Drawings and Bid Documents. Those without 
internet access may call (860) 489-2225 to request the RFQ documents.

 

All questions must be submitted by email to pennie_zucco@torringtonct.org by January 25, 2023 by 
12:00 noon.

 

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities; 
to negotiate and award a contract that it determines best meets their needs and best serve the 
interests of the City of Torrington.

 

All proposals will be considered valid for a period of ninety (90) days.
