Torrington residents may submit comments in writing to the City Clerk’s Office before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020.   Written comments that are sent electronically to city_clerk@torringtonct.org or by mail to the City Clerk’s Office, 140 Main Street, Torrington, will be forwarded to the City Council for their consideration in advance of the meeting.


Minutes

1. Vote to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held December 7, 2020.

 

Presentation: Economic Development

2. Presentation by the Economic Development Director regarding Blue Haus Group and the Building Healthy Communities grant.

 

Transfer of Property at 117 Water Street

3. Vote to accept Corporation Counsel’s recommendation and authorize the City to convey the remaining half of the alley lying to the west of the “old firehouse” building at 117 Water Street to The Midland Group, LLC.

 

WPCA Invoices

4. Vote by the City Council herein acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority to approve the attached payments from Fund #490 Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvement:

Timber Harvest at Charlene Susan Besse Park

6. Vote to accept the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Superintendent and award the bid for the Timber Harvest at Charlene Susan Besse Park to Gutchess Lumber Company, Inc. of Canaan, NY for the total amount of $56,982.

 

Release of Liens

7. Vote to accept Corporation Counsel’s recommendation and authorize the Mayor, pursuant to C.G.S. §12-179, to release the liens described in Atty. Muschell’s memo dated December 21, 2020.

 

Tax Collector Refunds

8. Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the tax refunds indicated on the list dated December 21, 2020.

9. Vote by the City Council herein acting as the WPCA to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the sewer usage refunds indicated on the list dated December 21, 2020.
