Public Comment: (in-person only)

Vote to open the meeting to the public, in accordance with Section 4(e) of the City Council & WPCA Meeting Rules of Procedure.

 

Approve Minutes

Vote to accept the Regular meeting minutes from November 21, 2022.

 

Frontier WAN Contract

Vote to renew the City’s 60-month contract with Frontier Communications for Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity to our municipal locations.  The updated pricing represents a savings of $1,665 per month and is based on the existing Connecticut State Contract #18PSX0025, as further explained in the Director of Information Technology’s memo dated November 18, 2022. 

 

Planning and Zoning Commission Reappointment

  1. Vote to reappoint Greg Mele (U) as a regular member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for a five-year term set to expire on November 20, 2027.
  2. Vote to reappoint Tom Telman (R) as an alternate member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for a five-year term set to expire on November 30, 2027.  

 

Route 202 (East Main Street) Sidewalks Phase 1

On the recommendation of the Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer, vote to authorize the Mayor to act on behalf of the City to award, execute and administer a contract agreement for the Route 202 (East Main Street) Sidewalks Phase 1 project to Costa & Son LLC of South Windsor, CT in the amount of $768,625.80 allowing for $76,862.58 for contingencies.  This project is fully funded under the State of Connecticut Responsible Growth and Transit-Oriented Development Planning Grant Program, as further explained in the Deputy Public Works Directors memo dated November 29, 2022.

 

Lien Releases

 Vote to release the liens listed in the Corporation Counsel’s memo of December 5, 2022.

 

Tax Collector Refunds

Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the tax refunds indicated on the list dated December 5, 2022.

 

Sewer Usage Refunds

Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the sewer usage refunds indicated on the list dated December 5, 2022.
