Roll Call Vote: Fair Rent Commission Ordinance

Vote by the Board of Councilmen to adopt the Code of Ordinances Chapter 24, “Fair Rent Commission”.

 

Roll Call Vote: Solid Waste

Vote by the Board of Councilmen to adopt the proposed changes to Chapter 128 of the Code of Ordinances, “SOLID WASTE”.

 

Public Comment: (in-person only)

Vote to open the meeting to the public, in accordance with Section 4(e) of the City Council & WPCA Meeting Rules of Procedure.

 

Approve Minutes.

Vote to accept the Regular Meeting Minutes from May 1, 2023.

 

Battery Storage Presentation

Presentation from Waldren Renewables on Battery Storage.

 

NAA Public Hearing

Vote to schedule a Public Hearing on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. regarding proposals for participation in the 2023 Neighborhood Assistance Act Program.

 

Sewer User Fee

Vote to schedule a subsequent Public Hearing, by City Council herein acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority on June 5, 2023, to set the Sewer User Fee for the period from July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024.

For Residential Users:An amount not less than $346.00 and not more than

$430.00 per dwelling unit

For All Other Users:An amount not less than $346.00 and not more than $430.00 per 65,000 gallons of volume of flow

 

Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Equipment Extension – HVS-026-053122

On the recommendation of the Facilities Manager and the Purchasing Agent, vote to extend the current bid contract for on-call maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment for FY 23/24 at the same prices and terms as the current contract, to Temp Mechanical Services, Inc. of Southington, CT, as further explained in the Purchasing Agent’s letter dated May 9, 2023.

 

Miscellaneous Electrical Services and Repairs Extension – EST-014-121521

On the recommendation of the Facilities Manager and the Purchasing Agent, vote to extend the current bid contract for electrical services and repairs for FY 23/24 at the same prices and terms as the current contract, to First Line Services, LLC of Cromwell, CT, as further explained in the Purchasing Agent’s letter dated May 9, 2023.

 

Snowplowing Senior Center Facility Extension – PSC-016-082622

On the recommendation of the Director of Services for the Elderly, and the Purchasing Agent, vote to extend the current bid contract for snowplowing services for the Senior Center Facility for FY 23/24 at the same prices and terms as the current contract, to Roberts Property Management, LLC of Northfield, CT, as further explained in the Purchasing Agent’s letter dated May 9, 2023.

 

2023 Fireworks Display

On the recommendation of the Interim Director of Recreation and the Purchasing Agent, vote to authorize the Mayor to award the contract for the 2023 Fireworks display to Zambelli Fireworks Manufacturing Co. of Warrendale, PA for $24,000, as further explained in the Purchasing Agent’s letter dated May 9, 2023.

 

Contract for Design, Planting, and Maintenance of Downtown Garden Beds, Planters, and Trees

Vote to renew the contract dated May 11, 2021, with Still River Gardens, LLC of Litchfield, CT for the Design, Planting, and Maintenance of Downtown Garden Beds, Planters, and Trees, based on the terms and conditions set forth in said contract.

 

WPCA Payment

Vote by the City Council herein acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority to approve the following payments from Fund #490 Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvement.

Conservation Commission Appointment

Vote to appoint Erin Stelma (I) as a regular member of the Conservation Commission, filling the remainder of a term set to expire on September 4, 2025.

 

Inland Wetlands Commission Appointment

Vote to appoint Randall Stelma (I) as a regular member of the Inland Wetlands Commission, filling the remainder of a term set to expire on September 5, 2023.

 

Building Department Report

Vote to accept the Building Department Report from April 2023.

 

Lien Releases

Vote to release the liens listed in the Corporation Counsel’s memo of May 15, 2023.

 

Tax Collector Refunds

Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the tax refunds indicated on the list dated May 15, 2023.

 

Sewer Usage Refunds

Vote to accept the recommendation of the Tax Collector and authorize the sewer usage refunds indicated on the list dated May 15, 2023.
